FISHING WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY OUTDOORS.
November 17th, 2011Fishing with friends and family outdoors on a beautiful day can be a wonderful tool for bonding when used correctly – an adventure that is all too often unrecognized for it’s value. Fishing is a simple pleasure that can allow a group to flee the “rat race” and revel in the ability to absorb and understand nature, all while engaging in a fun and productive activity. Fishing with friends and family is much better than fishing alone if for no other reason than if the fish are not biting there is someone to pass the time with in conversation, and perhaps to perform a bit of brainstorming to figure out why you have no fish.
Especially when children are involved, fishing allows adults to share their collective knowledge of the sport with the next generation. Hopefully, this in turn will create future stewards of nature so that the delicate balance between man and our environment will be guarded and preserved. Adults can learn a great deal in this setting as well because children frequently ask questions that are beyond our scope of education and expertise. So in essence before a tough question can be answered we must perform a bit of research ourselves to present a valid and accurate reply.
Fishing with friends and family outdoors allows us each to relax and unwind in our own space, at our own pace while surrounded by those we love and cherish. Time spent fishing creates memories that will be held dear for life, long after the fishing trip has ended and we return home to the daily grind. Perhaps most importantly of all, fishing with friends and family enables an understanding of both our natural surroundings and humanity in a light that is clear and untarnished by material concerns inflicted by modern life.
