HOW TO BETTER YOUR PATIENCE WHEN YOU FISH.
November 24th, 2011Fishing is a lifetime sport. The newly initiated get bored and frustrated if they don’t have Moby Dick tugging their line within minutes of tossing in the bait.
Here is the secret to patient fishing and I want you to listen closely. In fact, I’ll yell it at you. YOU DO NOT FISH TO CATCH FISH!
Shocking, eh?
“Fishing” can mean many things. Catching up on old friendships or making new ones. Or none at all. Fishing can be as solitary or as noisy as you want it to be. Fishing is a people sport and it’s all about YOU.
“But I just wanna catch fish!”
sigh
It’s not about catching fish. Look to your comforts first. A simple cushion to set on the cooler can add many comfortable hours.
Remember your insect repellant. Nothing saps your patience more than swattin’ skeeters.
Bring a friend. This is what fishing is all about. It’s about you, life and friendship.
Be patient and forget all about fishing. When you do hook Moby Dick that cooler will overturn, your drinks will go flying and you and your friend will be yelling gibberish that no one else in the world can understand.
THAT’S fishing!
