Fishing can be a highly complex sport if you take it seriously enough and the right equipment can make all the difference in the world. At the top of that list is the quality of bait that you use. While much debate can be made about the effects and quality of bait, I will share my 20 years of fishing experience to give you the best baits that a fisherman can have.

1.Curly Tail Grub – This has been consistently rated as the best bait by the top fishermen in the world. It is versatile to allure many types of fish and cheap enough that no fisherman has an excuse not to include it into their tackle box.

2.Spinning lures – If you have ever had a day where they just aren’t biting then this lure is what you need to attract even the calmest days. W prepared fisherman should stock different sizes for the desired catch but at any rate, it is a must for any fisherman.

3.Powerbait balls – These balls have been around for numerous years but are some of the most effective at catching clean water surface fish (Above 25m). While it can be used on a variety of fish, Trout don’t stand a chance when this is on your hook.

4.Worms – Now while technology has come a long way, it is hard to beat old faithful. Sometimes those 100 lures can’t do nearly the job that a simple earthworm can. You should consider always bringing live bait with you on any fishing trip.

5.Minnows – Likewise, even the most advanced lures cant perfectly simulate the best placed minnow on a hook. It may sound simple but it still holds as one the most effective baits ones can have.
